The class of 2016 from the SoFA Design Institute presented their graduate collections last April 13 at the Marquee Tent, Edsa Shangri-La Manila with each designer executing their vision for the collections they sent out the runway. It’s very exciting to see something new from emerging designers so here are the looks—or should I say #SQUADS—that ruled supreme.
In loose silhouettes, soft fabrics, and clothes that move away from the body, Alexine Castillo, Averil Aviles, Jeanne Gabrielle, and Shayne Maculi preferred comfort and ease.
Sexy vixens who aren’t afraid to show a little skin—or more. Go bare or go home, says Shamina Magarang, Abby Robles, Abimer, and Michaella Francisco.
Gals who love to have fun and show it in their frocks. Meryl Cheung, Mia Del Mundo, and Reina Tsukada’s girls are the quirky bunch I’d love to hang with.
These girls love to steal the spotlight, and would love to keep it that way. These looks from Lyn Galo and Michael Rosero are total standouts.
With these fresh and exciting emerging designers, the future of the Philippine fashion industry shines bright!
